The Goldenrod Tavern

About Us

The Goldenrod Tavern is a historic home built in 1900, and located in the heart of downtown Elizabethtown. Our venue space, for 50 people or less, can accommodate your next wedding, shower, party, meeting and so much more. The space is over 1,500 sq ft and comes with tables and chairs to seat your guests. There are a total of three rooms - the main entertaining area, the “food” room and a bonus room to use as you see fit. We also have a spacious rooftop deck with additional seating right next to our “food room”. This area truly sets the scene to be more inviting & relaxing. There is also a full-sized bathroom and a large kitchen complete with stove, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. We have a wide variety of linens for rent should you require those for your tables. We also have many additional rental items available to help you with decorating the space. Our goal is to assist you in any way we can, and be a part of making your next event special and one to remember.

Our Services include:

We service pub, grub and have a full bar. We offer a wide variety of mixed drinks and bourbon. We host bands during spring through fall in our large back patio area. We also have a full bar and food service on the patio. We have several live music bands throughout the whole year. We also have a rental space upstairs that can be rented out for events!

We were traveling through town in our RV. We stopped at Waters edge next door through harvest host. They were closed due to a private party. We heard music coming from the Goldenrod Tavern and decided to try it. It was a great experience. We met the owners Gary and Diane. The staff was very friendly. We sat at the bar and had the Turkey Pesto and the Reuben. Both were excellent. Plenty of drink options and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely stop here when we pass this way again.

A new era is beginning at the Goldenrod with sincere appreciation for those who came before us, and an innovating spirit to match our name. The Goldenrod Tavern & Events is now under new ownership and will carry on as a premier wedding and event venue, as well as home to a brand new tavern opening very soon. We pride ourselves on service and providing a high caliber venue for events of all types. With a passion for great food, service and events, Gary & Diane Richardson and their innovative staff are bringing a fresh perspective to the table looking forward to hosting an array of unique events in their newly renovated space!
